SERVPRO Annual Convention

Did you know that SERVPRO Industries, LLC hosts an annual convention for all it’s franchises? Each July, for the past 40+ years, our HQ puts together a week long extravaganza action-packed with workshops, conferences, award ceremonies and networking dinners. I had the privilege of attending in 2018 in Orlando FL. It was so big and overwhelming at first. But once I received my badge and chose the workshops that interested me to most, I felt right at home!
Convention is an exciting time for vendors to introduce the latest in restoration technology. It’s a grand opportunity for our lab technicians to explain and demonstrate all the proprietary products, equipment and tools that our crews use in the field on a daily basis. Safety is covered. Human Resources is covered. And, most dear to me, Marketing experiences and new strategies are uncovered. It’s such a joy to be part of this convention each year. It brings friendships, old and new, together as discussions spark on all kinds of different scenarios each community in all states encountered throughout the past year.
These conventions are important and SERVPRO Industries did not allow the pandemic to interrupt it. Our company CEO, Mr. Rick Isaacson, cares about his franchises and wanted to bring us together this July even if it could not be in person. He put together a Convention Team who cooked up the first-ever online SERVPRO Annual Convention. They spent many weeks setting up virtual workshops, games, ceremonies, and with great surprise to many of us – Everyone Showed Up!!
It’s a good feeling to know that we are not alone and that the green army is still strong and always here to help! As Mr. Isaacson wisely expressed, “Thank you for proving once again, when we face adversity, we dig in and fight to keep winning together. That’s one of the keys to success of the SERVPRO system. We will get past this pandemic and get back to a more normal world. We are doing the work to build a stronger foundation for this team to expand and grow on as we finish 2020 strong.”
