Water Damage from a Fish Tank in Chicago, IL
A crew came out to service the HVAC system for the summer. They turned the power off and turned it back on, and in turn started the ball rolling for unfortunate events. The salt water fish tank has a special filtration system which has to be turned on a certain way. Since it wasn’t the system overflowed damaging the engineered flooring in the family room. The SERVPRO crew came in and moved all the items out of the way to remove the baseboard and flooring. They also had to drill holes in the drywall on the bottom to vent the wall cavities. Equipment was set up to dry the area. The homeowner was pleasantly surprised at how clean we left the family room and couldn’t wait to get started on the rebuild.
