Spring Storm Damage in West Ridge, Chicago, IL

The home in the West Ridge Neighborhood of Chicago Il was doomed to sewage damage from an April storm.  The homeowner didn’t have carpeting in the basement but there was a lot of books that were damaged.  You can visibly see the sludge on the tiled flooring.  Some of the books that were on the lower shelves had to be itemized and the list was turned in to the homeowner and the insurance company of items that were total loss.  The items that were not affected were protected with plastic while the crew work and cutting the bottom two feet off the walls.  The floors were cleaned and disinfected and equipment set up for drying the sill plates and two-by-fours.
