Broken Pipe in a Lake View Neighborhood in Chicago, IL

Our crew was called out to a home in the Lake View Neighborhood of Chicago, IL in the middle of the night when a pipe inside the wall burst from the low temperatures during the Polar Vortex. The crew went out and started extracting the water from the carpet to lessen the damage to the built in wall units in the basement. The following morning after speaking to the insurance adjuster they went back in to remove the carpeting, padding, baseboards and flood cut the walls. Furnishings that were in the basement was worked around and then placed in the middle of the rooms so that there was space for the drying equipment. The homeowner was thrilled that the build in unit was saved and didn’t need to come out.
