Moldy Laundry Area in West Town, Chicago, IL

In this West Town Neighborhood home in Chicago, IL the homeowner found something that resembled mold above his washer/dryer unit.  Indoor environmentalist was called to do the swab test of the area.  The indoor environmentalist concluded that yes indeed that was mold and wrote up a protocol for SERVPRO to follow.  Unaffected areas were contained and protected by heavy plastic.  Negative air pressure was assembled with the use of lay-flat and air scrubber.  Employees wore full PPE and discarded the affected drywall using the double bag method.  Afterwards the area was treated, dried, heppa vacuumed and sealed.  The homeowner was pleased at the work and all the protection that SERVPRO did to the rest of the home to make sure that there was no cross contamination.
