The communication cricle

The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency's (CISA) National Coordinating Center for Communications (NCC) continuously monitors national and international incidents and events that may impact emergency communications. Incidents include not only acts of terrorism, but also natural events such as tornadoes, floods, fires, hurricanes and earthquakes.

But how does the public receive these critical communications at the time of an emergency?  The SHAred RESources (SHARES) High Frequency (HF) Radio program provides an additional means for users with a national security and emergency preparedness mission to communicate when landline and cellular communications are unavailable.  Follow these outlets to learn more:
